JOHN K. WATSON

John serves as the Chairman of Citizens for a Digital Future. In this capacity, John offers leadership and strategic guidance for the coalition as it engages in public policy issues.

In addition to his role with Citizens for a Digital Future, John also serves as Principal and senior business development partner of TPA Realty Services where he works to structure and manage TPA’s relationships with various development authorities throughout Georgia and the southeastern United States.

John most recently served as Chief of Staff to Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue. He has been active in politics, government, and business at the local, state, and federal levels for more than 15 years.

Prior to his appointment as Chief of Staff in December, 2003, John was the President and Managing Principal of Watson, Massey & Bowers, LLC, a public affairs firm. He served as General Consultant to Perdue’s campaign for Governor in 2002, and as Vice-Chairman of Governor-Elect Perdue’s transition team.

Other private sector experience includes Vice President for Business Development for the commercial contracting firm of Construction Systems, Inc. He was also a member of the land sales group at Resource Real Estate Partners.

John is a 1991 graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in politics.
